From April 3 to December 31, 2009, we are open Thursdays through Mondays 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The last tour begins at 4:00 and all visitors must take a guided tour when visiting the house.
WE ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS.
For groups of 20 or more, a special tour may be arranged for Tuesdays or Wednesdays, with advance reservations. Please call (703) 780-4000 x26333 at least 24 hours prior to the day you wish to tour for reservations and availability.
Tours are provided every thirty minutes with the last tour at 4:00 p.m. If you have a group of 10 of more people or have special needs, reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Please call 703.780.4000 x 26333 for reservations.
While visiting Woodlawn, no dogs are allowed unattended on the property or in vehicles.
For people with disabilities: The first floor rooms are accessible. Your guide will provide an album with images and information on the second floor spaces.
Admission
Admission fees are an integral component of the self-supporting educational efforts of Woodlawn. A National Trust Historic Site, Woodlawn relies exclusively on your admission, shop purchases and tax-deductible contributions to support its mission.

Directions
Woodlawn is located at 9000 Richmond Highway (U.S. Route 1) in Alexandria, Virginia.
From I-395/I-95
Exit at 166A (Fairfax County Parkway). Proceed on the Parkway until you dead end at Richmond Highway (U.S. Route 1). Turn left and continue north to the 4th light at the intersection of U.S. Route 1 and State Road 235. Turn left into Woodlawn entrance.
From Washington, D.C./Mount Vernon
Follow George Washington Parkway to Mount Vernon. In Old Town Alexandria, the Parkway becomes Washington Street. Follow signs to Mount Vernon. At the traffic circle at Mount Vernon, bear to the right and stay in the center lane. You will come to a stop sign and continue straight on to 235 South. Stay on this road until it intersects with U.S. Route 1 (3 miles). The entrance to Woodlawn is directly ahead.
